Moruya, 25 km south of Batemans Bay, is situated on the banks of the beautiful Moruya River. Moruya is one of the oldest rural towns in the region, and today is the centre of local government in the Eurobodalla Shire.
Have fun canoeing, boating, waterskiing and fishing on the Moruya River. Mangroves, oyster leases, channels and mud banks make it a fine spot for anglers. There are boat-launching ramps both in town and at the river's mouth.
Being only 10km from the coast Moruya offers easy access to some great beaches. Moruya Heads, located at the scenic estuary of the Moruya River, is a favoured surfing beach and fishing spot. Broulee, Congo, Bingi, Tuross Head and Potato Point beaches are all well worth exploring for all who love surfing, fishing or secluded walks along the Nature Coast.
Deua National Park and Eurobodalla National Park are both easily accessible from Moruya.
A full range of services and accommodation for tourists, holidaymakers and visitors has made Moruya and its surrounds a popular destination.
